Northwich Brine Swimming Baths
The Northwich Brine Baths.
The Northwich Brine Baths had, in it's 76 year history, provided entertainment to many people; a meeting place for social occaisions, in the winter months it became a dance and concert hall and of course countless people had learnt to swim there. I wonder how many lives would have been changed should the baths had never existed. It is however ironic that whilst it's creation came about as replacement of the older inadequate Verdin Baths, in January 1991 it too was deemed inadequate and was subsequently replaced by the current Moss Farm Pool.
If anyone has any photographs or information regarding the old brine baths, I would love to hear from you.
It is hoped that this site can show some of the history in words and photographs, yet at the same time re-unite old freinds with memories to share.
